Manila, Philippines: 119,600; Mumbai, India: 83,660; New York City: 29,000. These numbers are not the population of these cities—they are the number of people living per square mile. The world population is rapidly growing, and our cities are getting denser, but society hasn't asked a fundamental question: are we designing our cities to accommodate this growth effectively?

Urban planning is an often overlooked yet essential element of resource allocation, leading to healthier cities and healthier people; how we use land, design transportation, and allocate resources like food and water are essential questions for the next generation in combating climate change and fostering sustainable cities and lifestyles.
